about our roastery
Our coffee is roasted at Stean’s Beans Coffee Roasters in Amsterdam, located just down the road from Vondelpark.
We roast in small batches using a state-of the-art Loring roaster, known for its precision, consistency and low emissions. This allows us to bring out the unique flavour profiles of each origin while reducing our environmental impact by up to 80 percent compared to traditional coffee roasting machines. It’s all part of our commitment to quality, transparency and better coffee for people and planet.

Our mission is to create accessible, speciality coffee. We do this by building long–standing relationships with smallholder farmers.
With Stean s Beans we source 20% of the harvest, and through kawaida, we take an additional 40%. This allows us to source up to 60% of a single harvest, maximising impact at origin. Check out our brand video below for the full story behind kawaida.
